The Opportunity
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in architecting, automating, and maintaining the systems that power a large-scale fintech platform. You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, architects, and QA to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure that supports global product growth.
This is a fully remote role, ideal for an experienced DevOps professional who thrives on ownership, automation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Manage and optimize EKS/Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using Terraform
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience across services
CI/CD & Automation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
- Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring workflows
- Implement observability, logging, and alerting to improve reliability
Databases & Caching
- Manage and optimize Cassandra, Kafka, and Redis clusters
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure reliable data operations
Security & Networking
- Configure and manage Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection)
- Apply security best practices for IAM, encryption, and network policies
- Contribute to internal security reviews and incident response processes
Collaboration & Support
- Partner closely with engineering and QA teams to streamline releases
- Participate in on-call rotations and root cause analysis for production incidents
- Communicate clearly across teams to maintain operational excellence
What You Bring
- 5–8 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles
- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Terraform
- Strong scripting and automation mindset
- Proven experience building robust CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ownership mentality with a drive to improve reliability and efficiency
Bonus Points
- Experience with NewRelic, Bugsnag, or similar monitoring tools
- Knowledge of AWS cost optimization and resource scaling strategies
- Familiarity with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) and secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR or ISO 27001
